Disclaimer

Last updated: 30 September 2026

  1. Important notice

Please read this Disclaimer carefully before participating in any of our yoga classes (online or in-person), workshops, or wellness retreats / travel packages.

By booking, accessing, or participating in any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Disclaimer, our Terms of Use, and (where applicable) our Retreat Terms & Conditions.

2. Nature of our services

Yoga Bhaya provides yoga classes, workshops, and wellness retreats for general health, wellbeing, flexibility, strength, and relaxation purposes.

Our services are not:

  • Medical treatment, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, or counselling
  • A substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or mental-health advice
  • Guaranteed to produce specific physical or mental results

You should always consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise or wellness programme, especially if you have existing health conditions, injuries, are pregnant, or have recently given birth.

3. Online classes – your responsibility for a safe space

When practising online, you are responsible for ensuring a safe environment. In particular you must make sure that:

  • There is sufficient clear space (ideally a minimum of four square metres) free from furniture, equipment, and other hazards
  • The floor surface is suitable and free from slip or trip risks
  • Any equipment you use is in good condition and appropriate for the activity
  • There is adequate lighting, heating, ventilation, and access to water
  • You will not be interrupted or distracted during the session

By joining an online class you confirm that you have created a safe practice space and that you participate at your own risk.

4. Health, fitness and participation (all classes and retreats)

4.1 By booking or attending any class or retreat you confirm that:

  • You are in a suitable physical and mental condition to take part
  • You have disclosed (or will disclose before the session/retreat) any relevant medical conditions, injuries, medications, allergies, or special requirements
  • You will listen to your body, work within your own limits, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort
  • You understand that yoga involves physical movement and carries inherent risks of injury

4.2 We may, at our reasonable discretion, refuse or discontinue your participation if we believe it would put your safety (or the safety of others) at risk.

4.3 Participation is voluntary. You are free to modify or opt out of any pose, exercise, or activity at any time.

5. Assumption of risk

Yoga, breathwork, meditation, and related wellness activities involve physical and sometimes emotional effort. There is an inherent risk of injury, muscle strain, joint issues, or other physical or emotional effects.

By participating you voluntarily assume these risks, both known and unknown, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Wellness retreats and travel packages

Our international wellness retreats (including the Cyprus Yoga Retreat and any future travel packages) combine accommodation, yoga sessions, meals, and related activities.

Please note the following important points:

Travel and documentation

  • You are solely responsible for arranging and paying for your own flights, travel insurance, visas, passports, and any required vaccinations or health documentation.
  • We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, personal liability, and loss of belongings.
  • We are not responsible if you are unable to travel because of passport, visa, or health-document issues.

Local conditions

  • Health, safety, and accommodation standards in the destination country may differ from those in the UK.
  • Optional excursions, free-time activities, and local transport are undertaken at your own risk.

Health disclosure for retreats

  • You must provide full details of any medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or accessibility needs at the time of booking (or as soon as they arise).
  • Failure to disclose relevant information may affect your ability to participate safely and may be treated as a cancellation by you under the Retreat Terms & Conditions.

Insurance and personal responsibility

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended (and in some cases may be required).
  • You remain responsible for your own belongings, personal safety during free time, and any additional costs arising from travel delays or changes outside our control.

Full booking, payment, cancellation, and liability rules for retreats are set out in our separate Retreat Terms & Conditions: https://yogabhaya.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law

Subject to the above, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We exclude all liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in classes or retreats, except where caused by our negligence or breach of legal duty.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss.
  • Our total liability in connection with any class or service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific class or service.

8. Pre-recorded content and website information

Any pre-recorded classes, videos, articles, or information on our website are provided for general guidance only.

You use them at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injury or harm that may result from following pre-recorded content without live supervision.

Website content is for informational purposes and may not always be complete or up to date.

9. Third-party venues and suppliers

In-person classes and retreats may take place at third-party venues. We are not responsible for the condition of those venues beyond our reasonable control, although we take care when selecting them.

10. Changes to this Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the “Last updated” date. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimer.
