My Story

I came to Yoga late in life, after having dabbled in it around 20 years ago, just after I had my firstborn. Though I will never be the graceful Yogini that I am in my imagination, I still keep up my practice as the benefits for me are huge.

Two more children later, well into mid-life, dealing with the inevitable aches and pains that creep up on us all, I am happy to say that Yoga has helped me to maintain a level of physical health and mobility that I believe I otherwise wouldn't have. And as for the headspace, I am not much of a meditator, but time on the mat is my refuge, I really can't think of anything else when I'm there and I can't put a price on that.

Kind Words

"Marina's yoga sessions are always something to look forward to. They are rigorous but without creating discomfort. They are varied, accommodate all abilities and are delivered in a comfortable style with a leavening of humour. She relates to whole class and draws everyone in. Highly recommended".

– TERRY AND LYNNE LLOYD –

As my girls grew, the progression towards teaching Yoga seemed natural as I wanted to pass on the lessons and benefits I'd gained to others. Since then, I've found that my passion is to show people that Yoga isn't a competition with yourself or anyone else - that you can do it within your own level of ability, I've learnt that you can practice
without judgement and with kindness towards yourself.

This realisation has helped me to develop gratitude and acceptance wherever I can, including with my body and what it can and can't do.
